SUGAR’S REVOLUTION!
It was elected the best ice cream in Miami, two years ago! And It honestly deserves the title.
Azucar Ice Cream Company embodies Calle Ocho in sugar, cream, and waffle cones.
The atmosphere is adorable! Staffers wear shirts stamped with Cuban sayings: ¡El golpe avisa! , ¡Dale! and ¡Que arroz con Mango! .
Outside, a live band plays salsa below a huge sculpture of a loaded ice cream cone.
You'll find flavors that could only be dreamed up in Miami. The shop offers flavors such as mantecado, nutella, mamey, passionfruit, plátano maduro (sweet plantain), and a trademarked Abuela María — delicious and amazing sweet vanilla ice cream with ripe guava, chunks of cream cheese, and crushed Maria cookies.
Andrei had Abuela María, and I chose a big cone with Mantecado and Nutella.
We were lucky, and we were attended to as soon as we arrived! But when we left a line was already forming.
Azucar satisfies cravings for dancing, desserts, and ice cream varieties such as double turrón.
You can't miss this real Cuban flavor explosion!
