MIDTOWN: A BLEND OF NEW YORK’ SOHO WITH MIAMI ATMOSPHERE

Located between Wynwood and Design District, Midtown combines urban infrastructure with a cozy small-town attitude. Its sidewalks are filled of cafes, lounges, restaurants, boutiques, art galleries and cultural places.
Planned by the Architect Bernard Zyscovich, this neighborhood has grown quickly, and is home to Shops at Midtown, an outdoor shopping area designed to mimic New York' SOHO neighborhood, with many national and local stores and restaurants including Target, Guess, HomeGoods, Marshalls, SugarCane, Mercadito,Lagniappe, Sustain, Cheese Course, Buro Miami, Ring Finger Studio, Party City and the best hair salon of Miami: Dafne Evangelista Beauty Lounge, for sure!
The main street, called Midblock, is in the heart and soul of Midtown. Interesting spaces and cantilevered walls give to this street a distinct profile that balances the transition between the surrounding high-rise residences and low-rise retail. The glass rotunda, a neighborhood beacon, is the signature of Midblock. A pedestrian base with shops and offices adds to the synergy of the neighborhood. Because, you know, a city is all about its streets, a pedestrian arcade, from Midtown Boulevard to Market Street is a mix of greenmarkets and street fairs. This is a true city living!
And, when it comes to food, the Midtown's motto is fresh cuisine. The neighborhood's chefs stake their reputation on the house-cured, the home-made, and the small-batch. Eating there isn't meant to merely fill your stomach. It's meant to feel like a treat. The neighborhood's specialty cheese mongers, wine connoisseurs, butchers, and bakers make it easy to feel treated. My favorites spots there are Brasserie Azur, The Cheese Course, Sugar Cane, Novecento and to hanging out and maybe play jingo, The World of Beer!
It’s the Miami’s neighborhood where modern architecture intersects a vibrant city culture. So, when in Miami, make sure to stop by there!
