Last Thursday I had the honor to participate of the 4th Annual DOC IT FOUNDATION FASHION SHOW & SILENT AUCTION, that took place at LILT Lounge - Epic Hotel.

On that occasion I could know better the beautiful work of this institution which wants to help fund research dedicated to creating a specific screening test to Detect Ovarian Cancer. And, at the same DOC IT helps women who have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and have low resources or no insurance.

The foundation was born of the struggle of the sisters Martha and Susie Casado, in 2006, when Martha was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer and died three years later. In her honor, the DOC IT wants to warn the society of the importance of early diagnosis of this deadly cancer.

So, let’s talk about the event! It was amazing, the Lilt Lounge was full of people to support the cause and to see the gorgeous models wearing Fashion Risks, by Lucia Craciun.

The collection is beautiful. A lot of lace and transparency, which ensures femininity and elegance to women.

Also, the fashion show was attended by the USA Petite Miss - Nathalie Quiñones, who showed all her charm and beauty to the guests.

Na última quinta-feira, o blog teve a honra de participar do 4th Annual DOC IT FOUNDATION FASHION SHOW& SILENT AUCTION. O evento ocorreu no LIlt Lounge, do Epic Hotel, aqui em Miami.

Na ocasião, eu pude conhecer melhor o belíssimo trabalho da DOC IT FOUNDATION, instituição que arrecada fundos para apoiar as pesquisas dedicadas à criação de um exame que detecte o câncer de ovário em tempo de ser curado ( 95% de chances de cura quanto detectado precocemente). E, ao mesmo tempo, a DOC IT, também dá suporte às mulheres que já foram diagnosticadas com a doença e não têm recursos ou plano de saúde.

A fundação nasceu da luta das irmãs Martha e Susie Casado, quando em 2006 Martha foi diagnosticada já no estágio 4 da doença. Ela, infelizmente acabou falecendo 3 anos depois.

Então, em sua memória, a DOC IT quer alertar a sociedade, da importância do diagnóstico precoce dessa doença que é a quinta que mais mata mulheres nos EUA.

Mas, vamos falar do evento! Estava incrível! A casa estava lotada de pessoas que apoiam a causa e, que queriam ver as lindas modelos desfilando a coleção da fashion designer Lucia Craciun, para a Fashion Risks.

A coleção está linda. Cheia de renda e transparência, que garantem às mulheres feminilidade e elegância. Ainda, o desfile contou com a presença de Nathalie Quiñones - Miss USA Juvenil, que desfilou seu charme e beleza aos convidados.
