Whenever I arrive to a new city, the first thing I do is take those tourist buses for an overview of the place! In addition to going through the famous landmarks of the city, the tour provides historic, cultural knowledge and local curiosities.

Recently I did this tour with my mom, here in Miami. There are many companies that offer these tours, and you can combine the bus with the boat tour. We ended up to do it with Big Bus Tours.

I encourage you to experience it! It’s the perfect way to explore Miami and Miami Beach! It’s fun, relax and safe! You can start your tour at any stop, and your ticket is valid for 24 or 48 hours, including unlimited rides during the hours of operation.

The tour offer by Big Bus consists of three loops: The Beach Loop, The City Loop and The Uptown Loop. I bought the 48 hours ticket and start the ride at stop #1, Bayfront Park - Bayside, by The Beach Loop. Please, don't forget to spreading a lot of sunscreen! This loop takes around 90 minutes and it guarantees some breath-taking views. Remember that you can hop-on and hop-off at any of the stops to visit attractions and enjoy on your own!

After, I took the Uptown Loop for my mom explores Wynwood, The Design District, Midtown, Historic Overtown and a wide variety of museums, galleries and historic areas. Yes, Miami is so much more than shopping. This loop takes around 75 minutes.

The last loop that I took was The City Loop. It was an amazing overview by Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Little Havana and Downtown! It takes around 90 minutes.

The three loops offer an English speaking experienced guide or a recorded commentary in 11 languages.

It was an entertaining and enjoyable experience where my mom and I discovered interesting facts and secrets from Miami's past and present!
