THE ICING ON THE CAKE: ABOVE AND BEYOND LUXURY - OCEANA BAL HARBOUR

FullSizeRender-5.jpg

Recently a friend was telling me about the luxury real estate market of Miami. So she showed me the Oceana Bal Harbour.

Bal Harbour is one of my favorite places here in Miami. There is all that I like, fashion, gastronomy, beautiful people, glamour. Anyway, it’s a fancy place, an icon in luxury lifestyle.

For sure, Oceana Bal Harbour building will be the icing on the cake, when it’ll be completed. It’ll be at the end of this year. The project is going to offer 25 floors of mixed one, two, three and four bedroom apartments with maid quarters, plus one floor with four penthouses an two floors with four duplex upper-penthouses - I absolutely need it!

Building’s amenities include five-star international concierge and general services; advanced high tech, multi-level security throughout; high speed elevators ( yes, here time is money); valet parking with two levels of underground parking. Just a curiosity: the underground parking garage is rare in Miami buildings because of water levels. It is spending about for times as much for its parking garage, which will take just as much time to build as the entire rest of the building.

Let’s come back to the amenities: private storage and bicycle area; smart building with personal worldwide access to residence functions and building services; and beach and poolside services.

You can live this experience from $ 2 million (1 bedroom units, probably ) with maintenance fees of 95 cents per square foot.

The building’s most impressive architectural feature is its 60-foot-tall breezeway, which connects Oceana’s ocean and bay facades. Stunning art installations by world-renowned artist Jeff Koons, which will be displayed in the beachside gardens and the reflecting pool area, are meant to highlight the breezeway. The two works by this artist are estimated around $14 million. One is the Ballerina - my favorite, I’m in love for it - and another is the gold hued Pluto and Proserpina.

And, what about the view? I love my riverfront view, but the Oceana’s view - OMG! Speechless! The tower is parallel to the beach, so all residents have amazing views that include Biscayne Bay, Bal Harbour Marina, Atlantic Ocean and Miami’s city skyline.

Do you thinking that it is all?

No! The Oceana also is eco friendly. It is the first LEED certified residence in Bal Harbour. LEED is the triple bottom line in action, benefiting people, planet and profit. A LEED plaque on a building is a mark of quality and achievement in green building.

The all-glass tower, designed by Arquitectonica, is being created with expansive green area, which includes a landscaped garden, an Olympic and leisure pool, tennis court and - the best - 400 feet of beach access.

Enzo Enea, the landscape master architect, designed the green area. He forgoing the typical Miami landscaping style and not using the famous palm trees. His use of trees, reflection pools and manicured lawns will instead evoke images of the gardens of Versailles.

I would like to live this experience! What about you? ;)
