We took advantage of the #Labordayweekend and went to New York!

As we've been several times in the City That Never Sleeps , we decided to make alternative programs , not as tourist and more like New Yorkers. New York is one of my favorite cities, I can go there a thousand times and there is always something new to explore.

This time , we stayed at the Intercontinental New York Times Square, at 300 W 44th St. Very well located near good restaurants and theaters . The hotel is beautiful. Our room was new, spacious, beautiful and with a stylish decor. It is worth stopping there!

But on Sunday, we changed to the Sheraton Times Square because my mother-in-law was in town and we wanted to stay in the same hotel, to take more time together. Guys, we're surprised negatively with this Sheraton. The hotel itself is beautiful, the lobby, the bar, the location are great, but the rooms left something to be desired. Our room was small, stuffy and with old towels. I’ve stayed in other Sheraton hotels and it was wonderful, but that of NY, I won’t repeat.

On the first day our flight got delayed enough, so we ended up having dinner at a restaurant near the hotel. Don Giovanni, a friendly Italian, in Times Square. And what a nice surprise!

Don Giovanni: for starters, we ordered Fried Calamari. Then, our choices were Chicken Parmigiana, which came accompanied by spaghetti, for Andrei and Spinach Ravioli for me. All this with a nice Chianti Classic-Bello Stento. The portions are very generous, and very delicious. It’s a lovely place, there are tables on the sidewalk, the service is good and the price is great! After all this gastronomic orgy, we back rolling to the hotel! Don Giovanni 358 West 44th Street (entre 8th & 9th Avenue)New York, NY 10036
