CLOUD BREAD: A PALEO BUN
Sometimes I do a carb detox for 10 or 15 days, to feel myself more light and slim. But just for a few days, because I’m addicted to pasta and other Italian delights! Then, often I'm looking for recipes that take a little or zero carbohydrates. And it is one of those I’ll share with today!
Cloud Bread can be just a bun or a base to a vegetable/chicken/beef soufflé. Use your creativity!
Recipe: Cloud Bread
Course: Breakfast, Snack.
Servings: 12 mini portions
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes
- Coconut oil
- 3 eggs
- 3 tablespoon cream cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- a pinch of salt
1- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Coat a baking sheet with coconut oil (can be a cupcake baking sheet)
2- Separate the eggs very carefully, making sure no yolk gets in the white.
3- In a small bowl, mix together the yolks, the cream cheese and the salt.
4- In oder bowl, combine the cream of tartar and the egg whites. Beat until they are fluffy.
5- Fold the yolk mixture into the egg whites until thoroughly mixed.
6- Place the mixture to the baking sheet.
7- Bake on the middle rack for 30 min.
8- Remove from the baking sheet and cool.
